Pasta load night before.
Followed John program for final week taper.
bagel and almond butter 1hr prior to start.
cereal breakfast.
Kept steady pace all way through run and resisted the fast start. Only one gel since I had forgotten my belt. Cool weather helped. walk break when I needed them only and one pee break at half way...
Had energy left at end to pass people in last 3 km. Walked up weaselhead hill. resisted taking in too much water.
Didn't feel sick!!
Was well rested and not stressed but had to keep in mind to hold back on speed and stay steady to have enough energy at end. Sped up on last 2-3 km however.
