About Me
Interested in telecommunications at a young age, I became a licensed amateur radio operator at 15 years old and went on to pursue a career in telecommunications.
In my spare time, I enjoy many outdoor activities such as running from 10k to marathon races, road cycling, mountain hiking, skiing and snowshoeing. When I prefer staying indoors, my web site programming keeps my quite busy.

Running
I started running in spring of 2002 after having spent the previous year commuting to work on my bicycle everyday. With little guidance and lots of hard work and research, I completed my first half-marathon in October 2002. I ran my first marathon in Vancouver in May 2003 and haven’t looked back since.
Running provides me with many physical and mental benefits. It’s taught me a lot about myself and continues to do so every time I go out for a run.

I’ve always enjoyed cycling. During the summer months, I log hundreds of kilometers enjoying the beautiful Alberta landscapes and country roads. Sometimes, I like to take a day off and scoot over to Bragg Creek for a coffee or head down to Forget-Me-Not Pond at the end of highway 66.
A few years ago I combined both activities and participated in my first olympic duathlon. Triathlons quickly followed. I’m looking forward to my first olympic tri this summer at Coronation. Wish me luck!
